Bank of Russia to discuss symbols for the new banknote at the National Centre RUSSIA
On November
28 at 12:00, an open meeting of the Advisory Board on Banknotes of the Bank of
Russia will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The event will
be attended by the Chair of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, Deputy Chair
of the Bank of Russia, Sergei Belov, as well as members of the Advisory Board.
Participants
of the meeting will review symbols for the reverse side of the 1000-rouble banknote,
which will be dedicated to the Volga Federal District. Following the
discussion, specialists will compile a list of objects that will form the basis
for a public online vote.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a
permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations,
and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
The concept for the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Kaliningrad region has been developed as part of the preparations for the 80th anniversary of the region.
On 19 March, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the presentation of project proposals for the space's branches in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA from 27 to 29 April 2026.
