Dmitry Milyayev: "The Motherland certainly begins with family"

What makes the Motherland a point of support: a flag above a square, familiar landscapes, or the people with whom our life begins? For many, it is the family home that becomes the place where a child begins to understand what true patriotism is. As part of the all-Russian survey "What Does the Motherland Begin With?", Governor of the Tula Region Dmitry Milyayev explained why he considers family the foundation of love for the country.

"The Motherland certainly begins with family. It is there that the origins lie of the formation of spiritual and moral guidelines, respect for family traditions and values, patriotism and love for the Fatherland. This means that it is in the family that the foundations of the future of our Russia are laid," Dmitry Milyayev noted.

In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the National Centre RUSSIA launched the all-Russian survey "What Does the Motherland Begin With?". The project unites citizens around shared values and love for the country, and is being implemented jointly with the Government of the Russian Federation and federal executive bodies. It is aimed at strengthening civic identity, preserving cultural diversity and shaping national values through dialogue between generations and regions.
