On April 6 at 14:00 in the VEB.RF Pavilion No. 59 "Cities for Life Come True" at the RUSSIA EXPO, a lecture by Olga Moskalyuk - PhD in Technical Sciences, Head of the SmartTextiles Laboratory of Polymer and Composite Materials at the I. Kant BFU, founder of high-tech startups on "smart textiles" - will take place.

The expert will tell how digital technologies are already changing our clothes and life, and what innovations in this sphere are being developed in Russia today. Technologies are rapidly transforming the world around us. For example, 20 years ago it was hard to imagine that textiles would become a real engineering construction that could be programmed. Various electronic systems are appearing in everyday clothing: pulse and oxygen sensors, screens. "Smart fabrics" can collect and process data, incorporate elements of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and integrate into the virtual universe. And today all this is being created in Russia.

Guests of the pavilion will learn how special tissues help doctors to monitor patients' health and save lives, firefighters - to work at high temperatures, and researchers - to work in the Arctic and Far North.

This lecture is an opportunity not only to learn about new technologies for creating clothes, but also to imagine how our lives will change in the near future.
