Interactive map introduces the Vologda region's tourist potential to visitors of the RUSSIA EXPO
The interactive map shows the Vologda region's attractions, including popular tourist routes.
The map screen was placed in front of the entrance to Ded Moroz's Lace House at VDNH. It is a large touch panel, thanks to which it will be possible to get acquainted with the history of Vologda lace and wooden architecture, Vologda "carved palisades", as well as learn about the rich spiritual and Orthodox heritage, traditional northern crafts of the region and why Vologodchina is the soul of the Russian North.
"The map is functional, allowing visitors to the exposition to get detailed information about each district of Vologodchina. At the same time, the map reflects the main tourist routes and places that are definitely worth visiting," said Deputy Governor Vitaly Tushinov.
According to him, the interactive map will become an indispensable tool for everyone who wants to learn more about the Vologda region and plan their own unique journey through the region.
"The Vologda region has a huge potential for tourism development, and we are happy to present it at the RUSSIA EXPO. Thanks to the interactive map, we will be able to show our guests all the diverse tourist potential of the region right here at VDNH," added Ekaterina Shchegoleva, Head of the Tourism Office of the Department of Economic Development of the region.
In addition to the interactive map, at the stand of the Vologda region, in the magical residence of Ded Moroz, small touch panels are installed, which give the guests of the stand an opportunity to get acquainted with the results of the implementation of national projects in the Vologda region.
The International RUSSIA EXPO will run until April 12, 2024. The guests will be able to visit the expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. An extensive educational, cultural and business program is planned.
