The country's investment map presented at the RUSSIA EXPO
The investment map of Russia, drafted by the Ministry of Economic Development, has already been put into operation and is available for Russian and foreign entrepreneurs and investors. This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov during the plenary session "Entrepreneurship in Russia: Sector Achievements", which was held at the RUSSIA EXPO.
The platform is based on the data of investment maps of the subjects of the Russian Federation, which were developed during the implementation of the regional investment standard under the leadership of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov.
"The investment map of Russia will help to strengthen work with investments in the regions. We drafted it with the Moscow City Government and launched it at the beginning of the month. For business it is an opportunity to choose a land plot for any project: from opening a café to building a large industrial plant. The map contains data on almost 14 thousand investment sites: their size, equipment, available support measures," Maxim Reshetnikov informed.
On the map it is possible to estimate the business environment of the future project: sales markets, preferential regimes, availability of minerals and infrastructure — from road pavement to mobile communications. If the necessary connections are not available, the site cards show the terms of technical connection.
The map allows you to search for sites in different regions and compare their capabilities. It contains information on key macroeconomic indicators of the Russian regions that may affect the project implementation. All this allows you to estimate project costs and select state support measures.
In addition, you can also submit an application for a particular site here, and subsequently track the status of its consideration. This will simplify the interaction between business and the state, reducing the influence of the human factor on decision-making.
According to Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy, Property and Land Relations, the prototype of Russia's investment map was the capital city's map, which was launched in 2014 and became the first of its kind among regional tools.
"The map has become one of the most popular sections on the Moscow Investment Portal. Thanks to it, investors make a more informed decision about opening or developing a business in a particular area of the city, can evaluate the infrastructure near the object of interest in detail. At present, the map provides information on more than 3.3 thousand objects, as well as 205 investment sites for localization of production facilities. After selecting an object of interest, users can take part in city tenders, learn about available support measures, apply for premises selection and much more. Over the last year alone, users have made more than 45.5 thousand conversions from the map to the services of the portal. This is more than 2.5 times higher than the results of the previous year," said Vladimir Efimov.
The map was designed at the request of business, it has already been appreciated by representatives of Business Russia, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Regular filling and updating of the investment map is provided by regional executive authorities and investment development agencies.
Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development developed a portal of support measures for investment projects. Over 80 thousand unique users utilized it in 2023. New support measures have also been introduced, 30 of them in total, including assistance in lending, preferential regimes, tax and tariff exemptions.
