The program of the Children's Digital Safety Day at the RUSSIA EXPO was dedicated to current cyber threats and methods of protecting children in the online environment, as well as timed to coincide with IT Specialist Day, which is celebrated on February 28 in various countries.

The central event of the Children's Digital Safety Day was the advance screening of the immersive performance "Cyber Court", dedicated to the interaction between humans and technology.

"In the "Cyber Court" play we set ourselves the task not only to show the dangers encountered in cyberspace, but also in a non-judgmental way to tell how to deal with them. We also present a series of interactive events for the whole family, where you can learn how to use digital technologies to your advantage and not become a victim of deception," said Elizaveta Belyakova, Chair of the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment.

The play features five cases in the courtroom format, each of them involving the Internet, artificial intelligence or technology - anything that could carry a potential cyber threat - as the defendant. After hearing each case, the jury (the audience) decides by vote who is guilty, having first discussed and justified the position of the "defence" and "prosecution."

The play deals with common problems that Internet users may face - digital footprint, catfishing, dangerous and aggressive Internet advertising, digital twins, password authentication and even the influence of artificial intelligence on a child's upbringing: the audience saw a shocking case where a child is "brought up" by the smart speaker "Alice".  In addition to the performance, the program of the Children's Digital Safety Day included game masterclasses, a thematic round table, project presentations, and more.

The organizers of the thematic day were the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment and the general partner of the RUSSIA EXPO educational program - the Russian Society "Knowledge". The event is supported by the Movement of the First.
