Kuybyshev - Leningrad: unknown pages of the history of besieged Leningrad at the stand of the Samara region
25.01.2024
On the anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade, the Samara region's stand will host a lecture-concert combining the performance of creative numbers with information blocks. Visitors will learn how the besieged city, the "second capital" and the "reserve capital" of the country were connected.
On January 27, 2024 Russia celebrates the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade during the Great Patriotic War. And of course, it was impossible to leave out this event from the rich program of the Samara region's stand.
We bow before the courage and heroism of the defenders of Leningrad and all the inhabitants of the besieged city. Every citizen of our country knows about their feat. But few people know that in those days the fates of St. Petersburg (then Leningrad) and Samara (then Kuybyshev) were intertwined in a surprising way. Visitors to the stand of the Samara region will learn about these unknown pages of history from the lecture-concert, which will be held on January 27 at 16:00 and 20:00 at the stand of the Samara region.
The audience will be treated to poignant poems and songs of the war years accompanied by live music, a story about the historical connection between Leningrad and Kuybyshev during the blockade, and at the end of the evening - to a performance by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Voitenko.
