Swordsmanship: modern knights at the RUSSIA EXPO
03.15.2024
No historical movie is complete without a sword duel! The ringing of metal, heavy armor and skillful fencing - an exciting spectacle, which today has become a sport. On March 16, the pavilion "Sport for Everyone" invites to the interregional cup of RFSO "Lokomotiv" in modern swordsmanship. The new generation of knights is waiting for your support.
Swordsmanship or sword fighting as a discipline, of course, differs from the real fights of the past. Recognized at the official level only ten years ago, it is much safer than its predecessor, because the swords are made of soft polymer materials, and the task of the participants is not to bring down the opponent, but to demonstrate their superiority in the art of wielding weapons. At the same time, depending on the blade, the technique also changes: thus, among the equipment there is even a two-handed sword.
The tournament will start at 12:00, and before the event there will be a parade of participants, of course, in full armor. Young fighters will compete in age categories from 4 to 17 years old and will show you their best techniques, honed by training. Come and cheer!
