As part of the International Symposium "Inventing the Future," the National Centre RUSSIA will host the discussion titled "AI — Competitor or Ally?"

Experts will discuss the opportunities and risks involved in implementing AI across different areas of life, the impact of technology on the economy and social structures, and the need for ethical and legal standards to regulate its use.

Specialists will consider whether a conflict is possible or if AI will always remain a tool to assist humans. Discussion participants will explore whether AI will be the future of civilization or a threat to it, and whether it could lead to a new technological revolution.

The discussion will be moderated by Ruslan Bondarenko, journalist, author, and host of TV programs on new technologies, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The invited speakers include: Andrey Daudrikh, Head of the Department of Social Research and Consulting at VCIOM; Andrey Neznamov, Managing Director of the Human-Centric AI Centre at Sberbank PJSC and Chair of the Russian National Commission on Implementing the Code of Ethics in AI; Debjit Chakraborty, Director of the Russia-India IT Integrator RISING; Igor Koptelov, Chief Designer at Iridium JSC; Igor Chubarov, Director of the School of Metadisciplinary Competencies, Vice-Rector at Tyumen State University, and Director of the Department of Cultural Studies at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis; José Cordeiro, futurist and engineer from Spain; Eldar Safin, science fiction writer and IT specialist.

On July 1, 2024, President Vladimir Putin signed an order to establish the National Centre RUSSIA to preserve the legacy of the RUSSIA EXPO and showcase the country's achievements on a permanent basis.

From November 4 to 6, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the International Symposium "Inventing the Future." The participants will include scientists and researchers, futurologists and forecasters, science fiction writers, and representatives of the authorities.

The Symposium will become a unique international platform for open dialog, where the scenarios of human development and global challenges of our time will be discussed. The program includes more than 60 events in four areas: the future of human, the future of technology, the future of the multipolar world and the future of civilizations.

The event will be attended by scientists, futurologists, government and business representatives from more than 40 countries, including Austria, Argentina, India, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others.

The Symposium program is published on the website https://future.russia.ru/. Broadcasts of the events will also be available there during the days of the Symposium.

As part of the opening of the Symposium, an exposition will be launched that will support the idea of a human-centric dialogue about the future of the world. The exposition will allow each visitor to realize the importance of personal contribution to the future.
