An exercise session with eight-time weightlifting champion Mikhail Koklyaev was held at the RUSSIA EXPO
On April
27, the "Exercise Marathon", which started on April 20, continued at
the International RUSSIA EXPO. The main partner of the Exposition in holding
the sports program was the All-Russian public movement to promote patriotic and
sports education of citizens "Healthy Fatherland".
Today's
sports warm-up was conducted by Mikhail Koklyaev, eight-time weightlifting
champion of Russia. Not only young kids who came to meet the champion at the
RUSSIA EXPO, but also young athletes from three regions of the country
participated in the exercise: the Lipetsk and Sverdlovsk regions and the
Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.
"I
teach physical education in a Moscow gymnasium. And today we will do a sports
warm-up, which I teach to my students and do every morning myself. It keeps me
toned and fit," said Mikhail Koklyaev, starting the warm-up.
He also
added that all the exercises are not only useful, but also safe for a person
unprepared for sports. Today's warm-up will only do good and unite around the
right idea.
"The
purpose of today's event is to unite around the right idea. And it's also very
important to get young people involved in sports. I feel this wave of energy
that comes from everyone," the athlete emphasized.
Anastasia
Deryagina, a participant of the exercise in Lipetsk, noted the importance of
such exercises.
"It is
very good that they organize such events for children and adults. It is
important to do sports. It is necessary to support and encourage children in
sporting endeavors, so that they grow up healthy and strong," said
Anastasia Deryagina.
Petr Orlov,
one of the participants of the exercise in Ekaterinburg, was satisfied with the
event. Sports activities in the city are held, among other things, at the
enterprises of the Sima-Land company.
"Health
is our most valuable wealth, holding such mass exercises helps us to preserve
and strengthen it. Many thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to move
together to the best!" emphasized Petr Orlov.
Invited
champions will conduct mass exercises on the Main Street Stage every Saturday.
The April 20 start-up exercise held at the Exposition under the guidance of
Olympic champion, gymnast Nikita Nagorny became a record mass exercise in
RUSSIA EXPO - 5,773 people took part in it.
"We
are for popularization of a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among the
residents of our large country. We plan to hold about 10 exercises with titled
champions, which can attract the attention of young people to a healthy
lifestyle," said the head of the Healthy Fatherland movement Ekaterina
Leshchinskaya.
Mikhail
Koklyaev is a Russian athlete of strength sports such as weightlifting,
powerlifting and power extreme. He is an eight-time Russian weightlifting
champion in the weight category over 105 kg. Holder of the absolute record of
Russia in the deadlift - 417.5 kg. Master of Sports of International Class in
weightlifting and powerlifting according to the WPC version. Mikhail has been
engaged in weightlifting since the age of 13, he fulfilled the standard of
Master of Sports of International Class in weightlifting at the age of 20.
