Defeat Zmey Gorynych and ride on the stove with Emelya: Winter Lukomorye at the RUSSIA EXPO
The Russian Winter festival has started at the RUSSIA EXPO. For a few days - from January 5 to 8 and from January 11 to 14 - the territory near the equestrian club of VDNH will turn into a magical Winter Lukomorye.
Each day of the Festival will be dedicated to one of the fairytale characters. Here you can meet Baba Yaga, Snow Queen, Nutcracker, Zmey Gorynych and other fairy tale characters.
Every day the guests of the Festival will be able to meet the fairy-tale Emelya, a character from the Russian folk tale At the Pike's Behest, and even take a ride with him on a real self-propelled Russian Stove.
In addition to games and masterclasses, guests will be treated to performances by a DJ, musicians and acrobats, as well as a multimedia show.
The Russian Bogatyr Day began with morning exercises from the main characters of the holiday, and then guests were expected to enjoy exciting masterclasses, fun competitions, snowball games, dances, contests, fairytale labyrinth and other interesting activities.
One of the brightest moments was the demonstration of "bogatyr fashion" - cloaks, swords and armor, which everyone could try on themselves and make a memorable photo. The fairytale characters even brought their own playlist for dancing - a bogatyr one.
Russian fairy tales come to life in colour, fabric and traditional crafts within the space of Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Unity of peoples is not only about holidays and festivals; its nature is far more complex and multifaceted, noted the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov.
Heroes today are not only defenders of the Fatherland, but also those who accomplish feats through daily work and service: volunteers, mentors and teachers.
