Rosatom presented its achievements in the global nuclear power plant construction market at the RUSSIA EXPO
On January 20, a session of reports of the Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation was held at the RUSSIA EXPO as part of the Construction Industry Day held in the ATOM pavilion. The participants spoke about the division's achievements in the global market of construction of high-capacity nuclear power plants.
"Rosatom is a high-tech multidisciplinary company, a national champion and global market leader. The engineering division in Russia works on the general contractor model, while abroad we build mainly EPC-format models, providing turnkey commissioning of a nuclear power plant. We are engaged in concept development, surveys, design, equipment supply, construction and installation works, commissioning and start-up, and are fully responsible for ensuring that the customer country gets an efficient nuclear power plant. And with it, the development of industry and nuclear science. In general, the implementation of the construction project contributes to the successful economic development of the countries where we are building NPPs", — said Nikolay Vihansky, Vice President for Capital Construction of Atomstroyexport JSC.
According to him, Rosatom's offices have been opened in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America: "We are engaged in a wide range of areas of all possible activities, in one way or another related to the nuclear industry. In the overall world market of nuclear power plant construction, we hold the first place. 88% of the world exports of NPP construction belong to Rosatom. This is simply a colossal success of a large team that has been working in the new Russia for 25 years. In addition to construction, we hold leading positions in uranium mining, processing, and enrichment. We are also building research centers, nuclear medicine centers. The prospects in terms of development are enormous".
At the session reports were made by Natalia Pimenova, Head of the Center for Strategy and Development, Andrey Proskurin, CEO of the subsidiary construction organization, and Igor Tabaev, Head of the Center for Technology Transfer and Technical Policy. The session participants were also introduced to Rosatom's digital products, in particular, the technology for remote monitoring of construction project control. The following speakers presented their reports on these topics: Victoria Tsygoda, Head of the Division Digitalization Program and Digital Product Development Department, and Valery Olkhovsky, Head of the Project Office of the CEMCP Private Institution of Rosatom State Corporation. In addition, the best global practices of promoting technological innovations, new construction projects, and the implementation of sustainable development policy became topics for discussion. The Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation unites the leading companies of the nuclear industry: Atomstroyexport JSC, the United Design Institute - Atomenergoproekt and subsidiary construction organizations. It ranks first in the world in terms of the portfolio of orders and the number of NPPs simultaneously under construction in different countries.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place.
