Russian cosmonauts congratulated women on Mother’s Day from aboard the ISS
Roscosmos
cosmonauts Ivan Vagner, Alexander Gorbunov, and Alexei Ovchinin took part in
the nationwide flash mob "Mothers Are Our Stars," dedicated to
Mother's Day, and prepared a special holiday message from aboard the ISS.
They spoke
about how family shapes each individual's personality and the vital role of
mothers in this process, as well as the immense power of maternal love!
To all
wives, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers, the residents of orbit wished
endless happiness, health, warmth, and for every year to be the Year of the
Family and every day to be Mother's Day.
The rules
of the nationwide flash mob "Mothers Are Our Stars" are simple: write
a post on social media to congratulate mothers on Mother's Day, add a photo or
video, and include the hashtags #МамыНашиЗвезды and #ГодСемьи.
It became the first event of the new project
"Masterpieces. The Best of Russia" by the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
performance is based on documentary monologues of women whose stories inspire
and deeply move the soul.
Guests of
the event will have the opportunity to learn more about the nature and culture
of Chukotka.
