As part of a special project by the National Centre RUSSIA, Russian Post JSC, and the Marka company, participants of the International Symposium "Inventing the Future" sent more than 650 "Messages to the Future" to themselves and their loved ones around the world. Every guest of the Symposium had the opportunity to write their dreams and wishes, sending them on postcards to any place on the planet.

"I sent a letter to my parents, who live in Argentina. I wrote that I am healthy and doing well here. I hope that in the near future they will receive the letter and send me a photo with it!" — shared political scientist and NRU HSE student Lucas Adrian Garcia, one of the participants in the project.

The young man explained that he liked the idea of sending a letter to the future, especially the part about writing it by hand. According to him, we rarely experience such joy when receiving a regular message in a messenger, to which we can immediately reply.

Visitors already sent large number of messages to themselves and their loved ones on the opening day of the Symposium, November 4.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government bodies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.

The first event at the National Centre RUSSIA was the International Symposium "Inventing the Future," which welcomed more than 6,000 guests from 101 countries.
