Events of the environmental agenda will again be held at the RUSSIA EXPO on February 8.
"On this day the program of the National Achievements Forum will be devoted to the environmental issues, - said Igor Muraev, Minister of Natural Resources and Timber Industry of the Arkhangelsk region. - The business part will include a plenary session on the key results and achievements of the industry. Pomorie specialists will present a report on the results and prospects of the Clean Country project, within the framework of which in 2024 the region will eliminate landfills on the islands of Brevennik, Khabarka and Kego in Arkhangelsk and the landfill in Nyandoma".
On February 8, at the stand of the Arkhangelsk region the guests of the exposition will also be able to get acquainted with the beauty and protected nature of the Vodlozersky National Park. The territory of the national park covers a huge area (more than 460 thousand hectares of forests and lakes) and administratively falls within the borders of two subjects of the country: the Republic of Karelia and the Arkhangelsk region.
From 10:30 and till 17:00 employees of the Vodlozersky National Park will hold workshops, arrange screening of films about the park. At 16:00 Anna Begeba, project manager of the environmental movement "Clean North - Clean Country" will speak on the topic of environmental volunteering development.
The industry day will be organized in Pavilion No. 75 of VDNH at the stand of the Arkhangelsk region.
