At the RUSSIA EXPO as part of the Sechenov. Pro Medical Education Forum, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Director of the Scientific Center for Neurology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Mikhail Piradov met with students in the "Dialogue on Equal Terms" format.

This year the forum brought together 110 outstanding participants of the Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional" — the best medical students of the country.

The participants touched upon a number of issues of medical industry development, and also talked to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko about digitalization in medicine.

"It is simply necessary to apply these technologies. They make life easier for the doctor and the patient. Those who have worked in medical organizations and have been in practice, know the amount of medical documentation a patient may have, for example, an outpatient card. And structuring this information, as well as offering treatment options based on this data, is something that is now available!" noted Mikhail Murashko.

During the communication with Mikhail Piradov, students were interested in his scientific path, as well as in his teachers.

"Naturally, something can never come from nothing, and if you have a teacher, he allows you to become a specialist in a particular field. I had two teachers. I consider Nikolai Viktorovich Vereshchagin, the director of the Research Institute of Neurology, to be one of them. When I was writing my PhD thesis, I decided that I would be bored to be just a neurologist, so I went to the intensive care unit, where I spent more than 30 years. I consider Lyubov Mikhailovna Popova, the founder of Russian neural resuscitation, to be my second teacher," said Mikhail Piradov.

"Sechenov.Pro" is a multi-format forum for young professionals, where ideas, trends and projects are born, uniting medical students from all over Russia. The discussion and interactive program of the forum includes peer-to-peer dialogues and masterclasses with the participation of renowned experts.

The Medical Forum is a joint project of Sechenov University of the Russian Ministry of Health and the Association of Organizers of Student Olympiads "I am a Professional". It is held within the framework of the Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional" and unites highly motivated participants of the competition, young researchers, leading doctors and methodologists, healthcare managers, representatives of authorities, major educational organizations and medical research institutes at the best venues.

This year the Sechenov.Pro Medical Education Forum is held at several venues of the International RUSSIA EXPO: at the exposition of the Ministry of Health of Russia "In the Service of Health!" in Pavilion C and in the "Home of Youth" in Pavilion No. 55.
