The Fifth International Civic Engagement Forum #WEARETOGETHER opens at the National Centre RUSSIA
The Fifth
International Civil Engagement Forum #WEARETOGETHER has commenced its work at
the National Centre RUSSIA. This is a large-scale event dedicated to
volunteering, charity, and social partnership in Russia.
"For
the fifth year in a row, the #WEARETOGETHER Forum becomes a space where, thanks
to the exchange of experience, unique solutions are created, attendees learn to
work as a team and strengthen common values. This year, the event will bring
together nearly 20,000 participants from all regions of Russia and 47 foreign
countries. As part of the business programme, more than 70 events will be held,
featuring over 300 Russian and foreign experts. At the forum, we will sum up
the results of the #WEARETOGETHER movement over five years, present the
"Dobrovolets Rossii" (Volunteer of Russia) honorary badge to 60 Russians,
and launch registration for the volunteer corps of the International Youth
Festival," said Grigory Gurov, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth
Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
On the
first day of the Forum, representatives from resource centres for volunteer
development and Dobro.Centres from all over Russia discussed an initiative on
the development of a corporate code and a volunteer code – the documents that
will establish uniform standards of behaviour and interaction within the
community. The results of the meeting will form the basis for the final
versions of the documents.
At the
discussion "Social Architecture: New Approaches to Working with
Volunteering," participants spoke about building a management framework
for solving different tasks.
Educational
summits were aimed to prepare leaders of social change to work as a unified
team of finalists of the #WEARETOGETHER International Award. The experts were
Nikita Nagorny, Olympic Champion in artistic gymnastics, Deputy Chairman of the
Board of the Movement of the First, and Seda Kasparova, communications expert,
founder of the largest online speech school in the CIS named "Golos
Mozhet" (The Voice Can).
"It is
always wonderful to see how Russia becomes the world capital of volunteering
during these days. Here are leaders of social projects nominated for the
#WEARETOGETHER Award, volunteers helping in the rear, participants of
humanitarian missions to Kursk and Donbass, and foreign volunteering leaders.
The forum itself is focused on the main theme – supporting the Special Military
Operation. Here, the results of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherhood will
be summed up, decisions will be made, and plans will be built. Right at the
venue, it will be possible to sign up for humanitarian missions, send humanitarian
aid to the currently key Pokrovsk direction, donate blood, make a money
donation, and much, much more," said Artyom Metelev, Chairman of the State
Duma Committee on Youth Policy, Head of the Dobro.rf ecosystem.
As part of
the cultural programme, forum participants went on tours of the Sergei
Prokofiev and Pyotr Tchaikovsky Museums and the State Central Museum of Cinema.
The
atmospheric and exposition programmes have begun. The forum features art
installations such as "17 Values of Russia," "the Kursk
Wall," "Dobrometr" (Good-Meter), and the "Phygital-Spinning
Wheel of Mutual Aid," with partner organisations' stands open where
visitors can train in sorting recyclables, providing first aid, and other
skills.
All
participants have the opportunity to take part in a collection of humanitarian
aid at the National Centre RUSSIA organised by Dobro.rf and the Committee of
Families of Warriors of the Fatherland. The aid will be directed to fighters in
the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction. Moreover, 31 humanitarian aid
collection points have been operating in the capital since 1 December as part
of the "Moscow Helps" project.
On 3
December, the official award ceremony for the Fifth International
#WEARETOGETHER Award will take place. In 2025, the finalists are representatives
from 31 regions of Russia and 23 foreign states, including Morocco, Kenya,
Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Kazakhstan. The award ceremony will be broadcast live
on Channel One, as well as on the official online platforms of Dobro.rf.
On 4 and 5
December, on the sidelines of the forum, ceremonies for presenting the
government award – the honorary badge "Dobrovolets Rossii" (Volunteer
of Russia) – will be held.
The
business programme includes more than 70 panel sessions, discussions, and
workshops with the participation of over 300 leading Russian and international
experts, representatives of federal and regional authorities, businesses, NGOs,
volunteers, and activists from 48 countries worldwide.
Furthermore,
