"Department Store" space opened at the National Centre RUSSIA
On November 4, at the National Centre RUSSIA, as part of the International Symposium "Inventing the Future," the "Department Store" space was inaugurated. Its area is 100 square meters. The project includes over 120 manufacturers from 50 regions of the country, which present unique products that reflect the culture of all corners of Russia to the visitors.
"The 'Department Store' is one of the legacies of the RUSSIA EXPO. This is evident even in the decor: every design element is connected to the regions of our country. Today, around 150 manufacturers from 50 regions are represented in the 'Department Store.' Visitors, among other things, can find products from beloved manufacturers who participated in the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH," noted Irina Tesleva, Head of the Regional Interaction Department at the National Centre RUSSIA.
According to her, the "Department Store" will eventually feature products created in collaboration with the National Centre RUSSIA, which will help preserve history and traditions while aligning with the spirit of the present.
The "Department Store" comprises four main categories of products. First is "Delicacies of Russia," showcasing beloved sweets, teas, and gingerbread. The second section is "Beauty of Russia," offering a wide range of skincare cosmetics from regional producers. The third category is called "Accessories with Soul," where visitors can purchase bags, scarves, and costume jewelry. The most beautiful section features folk arts and crafts: products that embody the traditions and cultural code of Russia.
At the International RUSIA EXPO, held at VDNH from November 4, 2023, to July 8, 2024, by the decree of the President, the "Department Store" also functioned, allowing visitors to discover the best domestic brands and purchase products and items of folk arts and crafts from all regions of the country. A total of about 500 regional manufacturers were represented in the "Department Store," with over 400,000 various items sold.
The International Symposium "Inventing the Future" is being held from November 4 to 6.
