Believes in Ded Moroz and listens to silence: Garik Sukachev talked to the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO
The famous rock musician told how he is going to celebrate the New Year and why he holds a grudge against Ded Moroz, shared his creative plans and even argued with a fan. The meeting turned out to be lively and heartfelt.
The Moscow stand continues to host events from the series «Dialogue with an Art Worker». Not so long ago the guests of the exposition had a conversation with the famous actor Vladimir Mashkov. And now fans of Russian rock could see their idol. As always, flamboyant and charismatic Garik Sukachev, who goes by Igor Ivanovich in the everyday life, from the first moments conquered the audience with a touching confession.
"When I was a kid, I wrote letters to Ded Moroz every year, he, unfortunately, never answered me, but I kept writing. I hope that they still reached him, it’s just that there are a lot of kids and he did not have time to answer me", — said the musician.
Garik Sukachev revealed that despite everything he continues to believe in the winter wizard, and in general loves the New Year. Especially in Moscow, but this time he plans to celebrate it in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad region — a very important city for him.
The rock star also shared his favorite holiday story of how he and his future wife almost celebrated New Year in the entryway, warming themselves by the radiator. Garik and Olga went to their friends in the Moscow neighborhood of Belyaevo, where they had never been before and got lost because of a heavy snowstorm. The friends themselves came out to meet them. The lost guests were found a few minutes before the chimes struck.
The audience was also able to ask their questions. It did not go without a friendly dispute, one of the fans noted that Russian rock is not rock at all, but a completely different genre. The artist disagreed.
"Russian rock, of course, has been, is and will be. It is diverse both genre-wise and stylistically. This is a great, serious art, which became the foundation for future musicians", — concluded Sukachev.
Both the musician and the audience were «hooked» by another question about what is more important — to listen to music or silence. The artist took a long pause before answering.
"In fact, it is in silence that there is the most beautiful music. Listen to yourself in a difficult time for your soul, first there will be silence, then there will definitely be music", — clarified the musician.
The artist also promised that next year he will tour a lot and will visit many cities of the country. And at the end of the meeting, he took pictures with fans and signed autographs.
