The action "Our Family Memory Books" will start in early November at VDNH

In November, the I All-Russian youth event "Our Family Memory Books" will be launched as part of the opening of the RUSSIA EXPO. The desire to join the project has already been announced by 50 subjects of the Russian Federation, including new regions.  This was announced by Mikhail Gruzdev, rector of the K.D. Ushinsky Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University, member of the Public Chamber of Russia. He specified that the list is not closed yet.

The action was supported by the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the "Knowledge" Society, the All-Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First". In the future, it may reach the international level.

"We initially envisioned the project as all-Russian, but the entrance is open. I know for sure that we have received an application from the Republic of Belarus. Acceptance of applications continues, and I think that we will definitely have international participants in this project”, - said Mikhail Gruzdev.

He added that the event was first held last spring at the Yaroslavl Pedagogical University. For 12 hours 700 students and teachers continuously narrated from the stage about their relatives - front-line soldiers. A minute was allotted for each speech, and one slide with a photo and the name of the hero could be shown. 

Now regional headquarters of the action are being formed all over Russia. They offer schools, universities and colleges to join the project. And some educational institutions will become project sites where the performances will take place. According to Natalia Kravchenko, chairman of the Commission on Education and Upbringing of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the platforms will also be placed in the Public Chamber of Russia and regional chambers.
