The history of the Festival
The I All-Russian Wedding Festival commenced on 12 May 2024, on the day of the Krasnaya Gorka (the first Sunday after Easter, also known as Thomas Sunday). As part of the International RUSSIA EXPO, ceremonial marriage registrations were held for couples from all federal districts.
The ceremonies featured the symbolic transfer of the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth, named "Heart of Russia". During the festival, 282 couples were married. The first day was especially grand, with 151 couples tying the knot.
For the first time in the country's history, a wedding event brought together sweethearts from across Russia, and that moment will remain unforgettable for all its participants.
From 8 to 10 July 2025, on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, the II All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The festival became an annual event and will further be held on the feast day of Saints Peter and Fevronia.
Over three days, 206 couples from different regions united their lives. A key symbol of the festival was the transfer of the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth "Heart of Russia" from the couples who took part in the first festival to the newlyweds of the second festival.
Guests enjoyed workshops, concerts, discussions on family values, and an exposition of wedding costumes. The festival concluded with a warm celebration of the newlyweds — each couple received commemorative awards as a symbol of recognition of love and fidelity.
The III All-Russian Wedding Festival took place on 8–9 July 2026. For the first time, it was held simultaneously in Moscow and at the regional branches of the National Centre RUSSIA in Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok and Khanty-Mansiysk, reinforcing its status as a truly nationwide event.
The Festival brought together 186 couples from across Russia and neighbouring countries, with 150 couples taking part in the simultaneous wedding ceremony in Moscow. The programme featured wedding ceremonies, lectures, masterclasses and open dialogues exploring family, trust and the continuity of generations.
The Festival culminated in the music and dance parable "Khorovod. Wedding", which brought together the wedding traditions of the peoples of Russia in a single stage performance.
