The Krasnodar region is developing not only healthcare, tourism, social and transport infrastructure, but also sports — the region is a true center of sports in modern Russia. Representatives of the region spoke about it on the Day of the Region.

Today Sochi is rightly considered the southern capital of Russian sports and the main resort of our country. There is the Krasnodar Park — with the world's largest Japanese garden outside Japan, as well as the Ataman exposition complex in the Temryuksky district, the Lukyanenko Grain Center, and the Krasnaya Polyana resort.

The southern region gives the country the richest crops — wheat, Kuban rice, sugar beets, sunflowers, tea, citrus fruits, grapes.

"We have the construction industry, which gives 107% growth over the year, and transport - almost 108%, the list can go on for a long time. But I would especially like to highlight the situation with roads - today we are talking not about preserving the existing network, but about the active construction of new highways that are now emerging - thanks to federal programs and the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thus, on the direct order of the head of state, the far western bypass of Krasnodar was created - today it is connected by a direct road with the Crimean bridge, which opens an unobstructed passage for motor transport between the regions", — said Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.

The Regional Day included an open dialog with Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the RT TV channel and native of the Krasnodar region, as well as a quiz on knowledge of the region. Virtual tours, workshops on Kuban crafts, a raffle of ice cream and trips to Sochi and much more were prepared for visitors to the regional stand. Kuban chefs surprised guests with their specialties.
