A place where ideas are born: a year ago, Vladimir Putin issued an order to establish the National Centre RUSSIA
Very this day one year ago, on July 1, the decree of
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the establishment of the
National Centre RUSSIA was signed. It started to work on November 4, thus
becoming a successor of the International RUSSIA EXPO, and turned into a
large-scale educational space — a birthplace of ideas and development of the
cultural code of the country.
The National Centre RUSSIA showcases key achievements,
innovations, cultural and historical symbols of Russia. Educational, scientific
and business events are regularly held here.
"We have something to show, something to be proud of,
but that's not all, it's also important to present it beautifully and with
talent. We will establish a national centre, and that is decided," Vladimir
Putin stressed.
In accordance with the instructions of President, all
federal executive authorities, state companies and corporations, public
organizations and regions of the country participate in the activities of the
Centre.
Hundreds of events, including international ones, have been
held at the National Centre RUSSIA since its opening. Thousands of people
became its guests, including foreign visitors — more than 11 thousand
excursions were conducted for them.
"We are striving to become that harmonious space where
people want to create, to make, to fall in love, to dream and, of course, to be
proud. Because we understood: the Russians have an incredible need to be proud
of their country," said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the
National Centre RUSSIA.
One of the upcoming major events is the 2nd All-Russian
Wedding Festival "Russia. Connecting hearts." It will be held from
July 8 to July 10. The program includes official wedding ceremonies for more
than 200 couples, as well as many special events: concert programs with popular
performers, creative workshops from experts in the wedding industry, fashion
shows, and much more.
Currently, there are two major expositions held at the
National Centre RUSSIA. One of them is the "Journey Across Russia", which
represents the diversity of all federal districts of the country. The
exposition "The Birth of Scale" reveals the greatness of Russia
through its architectural heritage, and allows us to trace the development of
the Russian architecture from unique examples of the ancient architecture to
large-scale modern projects.
The Gastronomic Rows introduce the cuisines of the peoples
of Russia: more than 100 national dishes and drinks are presented here. The
space has already been visited by more than 41 thousand people.
There is also a Department Store at the National Centre
RUSSIA, where the best goods from all over the country presented. Here, you can find handicrafts, as
well as an exposition by young designers in the Fashion zone.
The
National Centre RUSSIA has become a space of national pride, a platform for
discussion, interaction and coordination of efforts to achieve national goals
and shape the image of the country's future.
The documentary "Life in the Profession", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of an outstanding cameraman Anatoly Zabolotsky, was shown at the National Centre RUSSIA on July 1.
On July 2 and 3, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the Forum "Strong Ideas for a New Age". The Forum will include sessions and presentations of the best projects.
The 2nd All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Connecting Hearts" at the National Centre RUSSIA, will bring together attendees from different parts of the country.
