Day of Dagestan: a children's center on 90 hectares, the most ancient Naryn-Kala and Untsukul notching
In recent years, Dagestan has become one of the main points of attraction in the Caucasus - more than one and a half million guests come here annually. And the tourist flow keeps growing.
The creators of Dagestan exposition at the RUSSIA EXPO placed their bets on tourism too - the stand of the republic looks like the most ancient fortress Naryn-Kala in Derbent.
The region attracts guests not only with its historical sights, but also with its unique natural landscapes and ethno-cultural wealth. Representatives of over 30 indigenous nationalities, more than 110 nations live here.
"We have to create a real hospitality industry. And this work is already underway, in particular, as part of the development of the Caspian coastal cluster. Thus, we plan to implement the project of creating the All-Russian Children's Center in Derbent district, on the territory of 90 hectares. This idea has found understanding and support from the head of our state Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin", — said the head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergey Melikov at the presentation of the republic at the RUSSIA EXPO.
According to the head of the region, the expansion of the international transport corridor North-South will also allow to increase the tourist flow - work is currently underway on the federal highway R-217 Caucasus.
The republic is developing dozens of successful tourist projects, including the Dagestan Wild Trail run, the Derbent Lights night half marathon, the large-scale Caucasus Trail project and the Legends of Dagestan national tourist route.

For fans of folk crafts, the exposition organized workshops on traditional crafts of Dagestan: carpet weaving, making Balkhar clay and Kubachin silverware, and Untsukul wood carving using metal.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
