Festival of Pensioners — healthcare innovations and active longevity
The annual Moscow International Festival of Pensioners opened on November 7 at the International RUSSIA EXPO. Senior citizens from different countries will strengthen their ties and familiarize themselves with the best achievements and practices to improve the life of the older generation.
"Our common task is to create the most decent living conditions for people of "silver age". Moscow is a leader in implementing the most advanced achievements in the social sphere. I am sure that the festival days will be filled with fruitful work, exchange of experience and pleasant personal communication," Alexey Shaposhnikov, Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, addressed the participants of the Festival in a welcome letter read at the opening ceremony.
A social discussion on the subject "Active longevity of Russia - a strategic task for the state and society" was held for the participants of the Festival. Within the framework of the business program the visitors will get acquainted with domestic and international projects promoting active involvement of senior citizens in modern social and cultural life, innovations in health diagnostics and disease prevention, the best means of rehabilitation and rejuvenation.
The business program of the Moscow International Festival of Pensioners will continue on November 8, and the Festival will end with a bright concert and award ceremony for the most active people of "silver age".
The main organizers of the Festival are the Union of Pensioners of Russia in Moscow, the Social Fund of Russia and the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Stolny Grad".
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole time of the RUSSIA EXPO, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. Representatives of federal authorities, major corporations, public associations and foreign countries take part in the exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO will last until April 12, 2024.
Ahead of the 9 May holiday — Victory Day — Vasily Shcherbakov and Larisa Denisenko from the Donetsk People’s Republic submitted a marriage registration.
Popular performer Khabib took part in the "Memory Wall" campaign at the National Centre RUSSIA and spoke about his great-grandfather Khabibrakhman Fazliakhmadov.
In the production, the song "Valenki" becomes a duet between generations: the voice of 1945 and a modern performance intertwine, creating a sense of a single musical space.
