Heads of regions awarded for their contribution to the creation of a unique exposition of the RUSSIA EXPO

Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International RUSSIA EXPO, awarded heads of regions with commemorative statuettes for their contribution to the creation of a unique exposition based on the results of the first month of the EXPO.

The award was given to Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region, Vladimir Solodov, Governor of the Kamchatka region, Oleg Khorokhordin, Governor of the Altai Republic, Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of the Stavropol region, Mikhail Razvozzhayev, Governor of Sevastopol, Batu Khasikov, Governor of the Republic of Kalmykia, Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Tula region Alexei Dyumin, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, Governor of the Khabarovsk region Mikhail Degtyaryov and Deputy Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Oleg Denisenko.

Sergei Kiriyenko noted that the heads of the regions and their teams had done a lot of hard and painstaking work to prepare the expositions — in just a few months they managed to create an exposition of a larger scale than the world expos.

"I would like to thank all those who have already held the days of regions. Every time it is really a genuine holiday. On this day, not only the residents of your regions, but the whole country is proud of the achievements together with you. Many people learn what they have never known. And always after the days of the regions there is a desire to visit them", — said Sergei Kiriyenko addressing the heads of the regions.

During the first month of work the Exposition was visited by 2 million 125 thousand people, of whom 97% of the surveyed guests said that after its visit they felt a sense of pride for their country and will advise their friends to visit the RUSSIA EXPO, and 81% are sure that they will return to VDNH several more times, said Sergei Kiriyenko.

Sergei Kiriyenko made special mention of the feedback from visitors to the Exposition — it is interesting to people of all ages, and the main emotions felt by visitors are pride, confidence in the future and love for their country.

"We see smiles on the faces of children, their eyes are burning, they are proud of their country together with adults, and dream of a future in Russia, — said the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Exposition. — It is also important that our Exposition is alive. It is constantly being updated and changed. We cannot relax, there are still four months of the Exposition’s work ahead of us — we must continue to surprise our guests".

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
