Foreign observers and journalists at the RUSSIA EXPO shared their impressions of the country and the recent elections
The RUSSIA EXPO was visited by a delegation of media
representatives and international observers who were present at polling
stations during the Russian Presidential election.
The guests shared their impressions of their stay in Russia,
as well as their personal assessment of the country's election procedure - in
particular, the introduction of electronic voting terminals (EVTs), which are
the main technological novelty of this year in the country's electoral system.
"At the elections in Russia, I encountered the advanced
technologies for electronic voting for the first time. It is transparency, high
reliability, excellent service and the highest level of democracy. Everyone
follows clear protocols. When we talked to people on the streets, they were all
calm, feeling secure. I think that is largely why everything went well,"
emphasized Lidija Makragic, a journalist from Serbia.
In Moscow, the foreign guests have already visited Red
Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and many other landmarks. At the
Exposition, the guests were shown the "Garage of Special Purpose", a
famous museum with more than a century of history.
"Russians and Serbs are very close: in character,
temperament and many other things. We are very similar, I will definitely come back
to your country again," summarized Lidija Makragic.
