"We became a single whole": Pakistan's Ambassador on the "Khorovod" parable
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, became the guest of honour at the premiere of the musical and choreographic parable "Khorovod" ("Round Dance"), created at the National Centre RUSSIA specifically for the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. According to him, the production does not simply introduce the audience to the culture of different corners of Russia, but also creates a space where boundaries truly fade away.
"It was a delightful show: a full hour and a half of a wonderful production in which one could see many nationalities and picturesque natural zones of Russia. Thanks to the organisers of this amazing celebration, we all — both performers and spectators — felt like a single whole," Faisal Niaz Tirmizi shared.
The Ambassador added that some dances in Russia and Pakistan are quite similar; however, what he saw on the stage of the National Centre RUSSIA was simultaneously very familiar and truly unique to him.
About 300 performers are involved in the musical and choreographic parable "Khorovod". Through the universal languages of dance and music, which are understandable without translation, they reveal the cultural wealth of the peoples of our country to the audience. The premiere is timed to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and is aimed at strengthening inter-ethnic dialogue.
The international exposition-forum ARCH MOSCOW will open at Gostiny Dvor (the Old Merchant Court) on 27 May.
Through the digital platform, young people from across the country will be able to tell stories of these heroes in short video formats.
The meeting focused on generating concrete proposals and collaboratively developing initiatives.
