Dialogue, solutions, development: "Business and Government: Solving Problems Together" meeting held in Yugra
An event under the name "Business and Government: Solving Problems Together" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra. Ahead of Russian Entrepreneurship Day, representatives of business associations, the entrepreneurial community, regional authorities, and municipalities gathered to work jointly on solutions for the development of entrepreneurship in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. The meeting focused on generating concrete proposals and collaboratively developing initiatives.
"We wanted to organise today's meeting in a completely different way and move away from a routine pre-holiday event. Today, we must discuss what both government bodies and the business community need to do in order to preserve teams, move forward, and develop businesses even in difficult times. We should not simply announce decisions, but work them out together," said Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra Ruslan Kukharuk.
The meeting was initiated by representatives of the region's business associations. In their speeches, members of the business community emphasised the importance of direct dialogue, joint problem-solving, and shifting from discussing challenges to taking action.
"We face a clear task — to move the dialogue from discussing barriers to developing ready and viable project solutions. Today, we need to identify growth points and create a realistic scenario for the future. The business community of Yugra has always stood out for not waiting for ready-made solutions, but creating them independently," noted Vladimir Zinovyev, Chairman of the Council of the Khanty-Mansi Regional Branch of the All-Russian public association for small and medium-sized entrepreneurship OPORA Russia.
Following the plenary session, participants moved on to work in project groups. Throughout the day, entrepreneurs, government representatives, experts, and profile specialists worked in seven areas: development of manufacturing enterprises, innovative entrepreneurship, private medicine, social entrepreneurship, responsible business practices, the tourism industry, and the public catering sector.
The work followed a unified structure: identify the problem, determine its causes, propose a solution, and formulate the first steps toward implementation. A separate track featured a business simulation game aimed at developing entrepreneurial and project-thinking skills.
A consultation centre was available for all participants. Representatives of the "My Business" Foundation in Yugra and the Yugra Development Foundation explained measures supporting entrepreneurship and investment.
In the second half of the day, the teams presented their results to an expert commission. The commission included: Governor of Yugra Ruslan Kukharuk; Commissioner for Human Rights in Yugra Irina Kask; and representatives from relevant departments and Yugra State University.
As a result of the presentations, participants proposed initiatives aimed at creating favorable conditions for business growth, developing intersectoral cooperation, improving the effectiveness of existing support mechanisms, and launching new forms of interaction between business and government. The developed initiatives will form the basis for further joint work and consideration at the level of relevant regional authorities.
Summing up the meeting, Ruslan Kukharuk noted that the value of such a format lies in the opportunity to openly discuss the real needs of businesses and jointly find practical solutions.
The day concluded with an awards ceremony honoring laureates of the EPG (Ecology, Personnel, Government) Rating of Responsible Businesses.
The EPG Rating is a project launched in 2023 that creates a tool of trust between business, the state, and society. It is based on three areas: ecology (contribution to the environmental preservation), personnel (care for employees), and government (open interaction with authorities). The rating recognises companies and entrepreneurs who implement environmentally friendly technologies, create decent working conditions, support social initiatives, and contribute to achieving Russia's national goals.
Letters of appreciation from the Governor of Yugra were presented by Ruslan Kukharuk himself. The awards honored entrepreneurs and company executives demonstrating a high level of social responsibility and contribution to regional development.
Among the award recipients were individual entrepreneurs and business leaders: Alexandra Akhmatova, Mindar Aglyamov, Yelena Bogdanova, Natalia Gonokhina, Vladimir Dzendzyura, and Stepan Prisakar.
