Project for the new building of the National Centre RUSSIA to be presented at ARCH MOSCOW
The international exposition-forum ARCH MOSCOW will open at Gostiny Dvor (the Old Merchant Court) on 27 May. One of the country's leading architectural venues will showcase the design of the new building of the National Centre RUSSIA — a future architectural symbol of the country and one of the capital's key public spaces. Construction officially began on 26 March 2026, following the launch given by Vladimir Putin.
The project concept will be presented by Ksenia Mayer, Deputy Director General for Construction and Operations of the National Centre RUSSIA, together with architects Anton Nadtochiy and Vera Butko. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Moscow Urban Planning Complex.
The building's concept is designed in a bionic style. Its shape reflects natural landscapes, while the silhouette resembles a snow cover. A key feature of the project will be its multimedia façade and roof, whose imagery and lighting will adapt to ongoing events. One of the world's largest panoramic atriums will be designed as an enclosed space, making it possible to host events in any weather conditions.
The National Centre RUSSIA will be able to accommodate around 20,000 visitors at the same time. The venue is envisioned as a multifunctional space where every visitor will be able to find something of interest — from business forums to educational, cultural, and public outreach events. Following completion of the main building, the second phase of the project will begin: a four-hectare landscape park.
The ARCH MOSCOW exposition will take place from 27 to 30 May at Gostiny Dvor. Come to see a project set to become an important part of the capital's new architectural identity!
Through the digital platform, young people from across the country will be able to tell stories of these heroes in short video formats.
The meeting focused on generating concrete proposals and collaboratively developing initiatives.
