From Sevastopol to Magadan: 74 regions of the country have already received the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth
The flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth "Heart of Russia", which was lit at the RUSSIA EXPO during the Dear - Loved Ones forum on January 23, the day of the official start of the Year of the Family announced by President Vladimir Putin, continues to spread throughout the regions of Russia.
It is symbolic that the Year of the Family was launched at the RUSSIA EXPO, said Deputy Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» Anastasia Zvyagina. "Let the All-Russian Family Hearth, fragments of which have traveled to all federal districts and new regions, carry light, love and warmth with it. The flame has already been delivered to 74 regions of our country. The day before it was received by the Orel region, the Republic of Udmurtia, the Leningrad region, the Saratov region," said Anastasia Zvyagina.
"I hope this flame will become a symbol of unity and harmony of all families of our country. It reminds us how important it is to preserve and strengthen our family values, love and care for each other," she emphasized.

The fire for the "Heart of Russia" was brought from the Holy Trinity Monastery in Murom, the birthplace of Saints Peter and Fevronia. The touching story of their pure love is very popular in Russia. And Murom has long been called the capital of this bright holiday - every year tens of thousands of tourists and pilgrims come to the city.
In Moscow, the flame of the family hearth was transferred to the Palace of Marriage at VDNH. In the Moscow region, the flame was placed in the regional Palace of Marriage, located in the Patriot Park. It was brought here from Moscow by Svyatoslav and Maria Negin together with their children - nine-year-old Artem, six-year-old Roma and four-year-old Emelyan.
"Last year we celebrated 15 years of life together. And by coincidence in 2023 we became winners of the All-Russian contest "Family of the Year", and the governor of the Moscow region awarded my wife the order "Mother's Glory" - it is very pleasant," said Svyatoslav Negin.
The city of Russian sailors Sevastopol received the fire of the Family Hearth from the representatives of the famous creative dynasty of Elizarovs, founded by ballet master Vadim Elizarov, the creator of the first theater in the choreographic world. The flame will be lit in all civil registry offices of the city.
"That focus on family, on traditional values, on dynasties, which is set by our President is what makes us invincible. Of course, all year long we will carry the mission and the admonition that the President has given us. Family is the basis of traditional values of our country," emphasized the participant of the Dear - Loved Ones forum Alexander Elizarov.
The fire of the Family Hearth also reached the regions of the North Caucasus. It was delivered to Kabardino-Balkaria by the Kulov family, which won the nomination "Family Talent Show" of the contest "Dynasties of Russia". The lamp with the flame was handed over in a solemn atmosphere to the director of the Civil Registry Office of the Nalchik City District.
"Fire is a symbol of the family hearth. Let it burn for a long time, warms with its heat, fills all homes and families of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic with light," said Amir Kulov.
In Kaluga, the flame was delivered to the regional Palace of Celebrations. The first young couples getting married have already lit their own family hearths with it.
On January 25, the flame arrived on the Ural land, in the Orenburg region. The flame was brought to the Kurgan region by members of the Sotnikov family raising eight children. The regional hearth was lit in the regional registry office - newlyweds getting married will be able to touch the symbol of family warmth.
The same was done in the Republic of Mari El - here the flame was transferred to the regional Registry Office during the opening ceremony of the Year of the Family.
On January 26 in the capital of Mordovia, Saransk, the flame of the "Heart of Russia" was welcomed by representatives of 27 families at once, including young families, families with many children and families of the participants of the special military operation. The flame was brought to the region by the family of Yulia and Alexander Varlamov. The official opening of the Year of the Family took place in the House of the Republic on February 1. The flame will be kept in the Cathedral of St. Theodore Ushakov.
Khakassia gave an official start to the Year of the Family on February 2. The solemn event was held at the National Center of Folk Art named after S.P. Kadyshev. The flame was delivered to the region from Kuzbass by the Syatkin family, which became the 1000th in 2023. After the solemn event, the young family handed over a piece of the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth to the Transfiguration Cathedral of the capital of the Republic, where it will be kept.
In Tomsk the solemn event devoted to the meeting of the flame gathered a lot of participants - people came with their families. The hearth was placed in Bogoyavlensky square, in the center of the regional capital, where everyone can light a candle of their own family fire.
In the Republic of Altai the journey of the Family Hearth fire is not over yet - the flame, by the decision of the government of the republic, will travel to all ten districts of the region in the coming year, and will also visit the capital of the republic - Gorno-Altaisk. Residents of Ust-Kansky district will be the first to see the flame.
Keepers of the family hearth in the Altai region were spouses Vladislav and Irina Kotovs from Barnaul. They transferred the flame to the city Registry Office.
Vadim and Alyona Gorelovs, parents of ten children, brought the flame to the Magadan region. Representatives of the regional government, mayor's office, clergy participated in the solemn ceremony of transferring the flame. The regional family hearth was placed in the Registry Office of the regional capital.
"A strong family is a strong society. A healthy family is a healthy society. The fact that today the government wants to help it the thing that promotes the unification, preservation of the family - I am very pleased with it," said Vadim Gorelov.
In the Krasnoyarsk region the celebration of the Family Hearth reception took place in a symbolic place - the House of Family Celebrations. The fire was brought here from Kemerovo by spouses Yuri and Anna Kudryavtsev, and the first couple to visit the hearth during the wedding ceremony were newlyweds Nikolay and Ekaterina Baranov. During the Year of the Family the fire will be constantly burning in the House of Celebrations, the hearths will be lit in the territories of the region as well.
19 married couples representing municipal districts and cities of the Tuva Republic lit the flames from the hearth during the opening ceremony of the Year of the Family. The flame was then transferred to the Registry Office in Kyzyl, where it will become part of every marriage ceremony.
The icon-lamps were also delivered by car to new regions - Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, DPR and LPR.
The All-Russian Family Hearth is a heart-shaped installation in front of which the fire that came from the Holy Trinity Monastery was lit on January 23. The All-Russian Family Forum "Dear - Loved Ones" opened the Year of the Family in Russia, announced by President Vladimir Putin.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
