Regional education system presented at the International RUSSIA EXPO
Minister of Education of the region Maxim Parfenov said that interactive programs were prepared by the center for supplementary education for children of Ust-Ordynsky settlement and the Irkutsk center for development of supplementary education for children.
"The education system of the Irkutsk region unites 876 schools, 844 kindergartens, 79 organizations of secondary vocational education. There are 22 organizations of higher education on the territory of the region. I would like to make a special mention of organizations of supplementary education for children, of which we have 268 in the region today. It is there that children maximize their creative potential, develop and determine their future profession," Parfenov said.
At the exposition the teachers of the center for supplementary education of children of Ust-Ordynsky settlement presented a program introducing the popularization of national culture as a means of upbringing. "At the masterclass on the folk game with ankle-bones Shagai Naadan participants will learn how traditions are passed from one generation to another through the activity. Visitors will also learn how to make brooches shaped as baby seals from dry wool, and at the same time they will be told about the Baikal seal, an endemic of Baikal. Those who wish will also be able to join through the unifying dance Yekhor to the unity and cohesion of peoples and get a charge of pleasant emotions, energy and positivity," said the director of the center for supplementary education Lyubov Zherbakova.
In turn, the center for development of additional education for children in Irkutsk presents the direction related to the latest technologies and engineering and technical creativity at the exposition. In particular, there is a mobile technopark Quantorium Sputnik on the basis of this center. Its teachers will hold a masterclass Self-Electronic on assembling electronic circuits, as well as offer the guests of the exposition to pass a two-level obstacle course with the help of VR-helmet.

The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
