Director of the RUSSIA EXPO: the biggest heroes of this grandiose event are our volunteers
Volunteers who help to organize the RUSSIA EXPO were awarded on the International Volunteer Day.
About 8 thousand volunteers from different regions work at the largest in decades event of the country - the International RUSSIA EXPO. As Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» Natalia Virtuozova emphasized, this grandiose event became possible thanks to volunteer labor.
"You can organize a very interesting exposition, beautiful expositions, but without an open kind heart nothing will work out. There has never been such a grand exposition and such a number of guests in one place in the history of our country. Thanks to you there is an amazing atmosphere and order here. And for this, I bow to you", — the head of the exposition addressed the volunteers.
Russia can rightfully be called a country of volunteers - more than a quarter of the population is engaged in volunteer activities. Volunteers often take responsibility in the most difficult areas: working in hospices, orphanages, helping the families of the participants of the Special Military Operation, working with difficult families, with children, supporting the elderly. Thanks to volunteers, Russia successfully coped with such major events as the Olympics and the World Cup.
Ekaterina Dragunova, Chairman of the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy, thanked the volunteers of the RUSSIA EXPO who work here in any weather, despite any difficulties.
The achievements of our caring compatriots were also recognized with the Volunteer of the Year award, which was presented by Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 4 at the International Forum of Civic Participation #WeAreTogether, held these days at VDNH.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Visitors are presented expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. The RUSSIA EXPO will run until April 12 on the territory of VDNH in Moscow.
The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District, Artyom Zhoga, is taking part in the 5th Forum of volunteers and civic activists "Patriots of the Urals".
"The Crimean Spring" and 18 March are dates that have become part of our country’s modern history.
The Movement of the First, Yunarmiya (Young Army), the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland", and the VOIN (Warrior) Centre jointly launched the second season of the All-Russian game "Family Zarnitsa" on 17 March.
