All-Russian gathering of agricultural classes took place at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
All-Russian Educational Forum of Agricultural School Principals and
Agricultural Class Heads organized by the Russian Union of Rural Youth and
Rosselkhozbank took place at the RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion No. 55 "Home of
Youth". It was opened by a plenary discussion, during which the issues of
implementation of the educational process and motivation of students to
agrarian professions were addressed. The event was organized on the platform of
the general partner of the RUSSIA EXPO educational program - the Russian
Society "Knowledge".
Agricultural
classes are one of the elements of early career guidance of schoolchildren,
which helps kids to consciously choose a profession, said Deputy Minister of
Education of Russia Anastasia Zyryanova. According to her, today for those who
want to tie their future to agricultural professions, all opportunities have
been created: agricultural schools, classes, agricultural ecological
associations, school micro-farms and others are working.
"Today,
more than 1,700 agricultural classes have been opened in Russia. About 24 thousand
of our children study in them. 128 thousand people are engaged in
agriecological associations across the country. We have set a task that an
agricultural class should appear in the majority of rural schools in agrarian
regions of the country. And, of course, we will work together to achieve this
result," emphasized Anastasia Zyryanova.
Agricultural
classes are necessary so that children from an early age could get acquainted
with modern trends in agriculture - now it is a high-tech industry, said Yulia
Ogloblina, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Issues of the State
Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, leader of the Russian
Union of Rural Youth. For their development it is necessary to update the
material and technical base, cooperation with "Growth Points" and
enterprises of the industry.
"The studies in agricultural classes are based on theory, which is given by the teacher, and practice - it is often organized by employers. I hope that summer internships will be added to this. Our task is to set up a system of communication between schools, universities and employers," emphasized Yulia Ogloblina.
More than 100 representatives of agricultural schools and educational institutions from 32 regions of Russia gathered at the All-Russian Educational Forum of Agricultural School Principals and Agricultural Class Heads. The forum is the final part of a comprehensive educational program. On the eve of the event, Rosselkhozbank and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia held an online training block "Organization of Agricultural Project and Research Activities" for agricultural school directors and class heads. The participants gained professional knowledge about biology in agriculture, plant biotechnology, alternative farming and vertical farms, digital poultry farming, livestock breeding and other agrarian areas. At the end of the forum, each participant received a certificate of professional development and a diploma of training.
