Metal products made in the Avar traditions

The unique art of metalworking originated in the highland village of Gotsatl over 300 years ago. However, even nowadays, Gotsatl artisans are creating weapons, jewelry, jars, crockery sets and other products made of metal. Silver, copper, nickel silver, turquoise, malachite and some other materials and stones are used for their work. More often for the base decoration craftsmen select a blackened pattern, which becomes the background for a larger silver ornament.
