TSIOLKOVSKY AND THE UNIVERSAL MIND: KALUGA REGION PREPARES FOR THE RUSSIA EXPO
All regions of the country are preparing to present their achievements at the International RUSSIA EXPO, which will open its doors on November, 4 at VDNH, report TV channels "Russia-1", "Russia-24’" and Channel One.
In the Kaluga region, preparations are underway not just on an all-Russian, but on a cosmic scale. "The cradle of national cosmonautics" - this is how Kaluga is often called, because the world-famous scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky lived and worked here. It was also in this city that Yuri Gagarin laid the foundation stone of the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, which expands its expositions every year. There are many other sights in the region that remind of space. Nevertheless, the main task of the stand is to show that today the Kaluga region is not only about space.
The centerpiece of the stand will be a technological copy of the "Universal Mind" from the Nikola-Lenivets art park. The exposition will showcase the historical and cultural diversity of the region, its tourist potential, and most importantly - achievements in science, industry and social sphere.
There will also be an interactive part. Guests will be invited to a virtual bicycle ride around the Kaluga region along with Tsiolkovsky himself.
A special place in the Kaluga exposition will be given to the authentic culture of the region. Products with Tarusa embroidery are the official brand of the region. The factory has been operating in the Kaluga region for almost 100 years.
The "New Silk Road" project and other interesting topics related to the development of the Kaluga region will be presented to the residents and guests of the capital very soon.
The lecture "Come and See: The Feat of Newsreel Cameramen during the Great Patriotic War" took place as part of the "Thursday. Development".
The centre has become the first, unique, and multifunctional exhibition venue in Belarus, operated by the National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo."
On May 8, the audience at the National Centre RUSSIA enjoyed a performance by a combined children's wind orchestra, which launched the festive concert programme.
