The Minsk International Exhibition Centre BELEXPO opened on Victory Day
The opening of the Minsk International Exhibition Centre BELEXPO took place in Minsk on May 8, ahead of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The centre has become the first, unique, and multifunctional exhibition venue in Belarus, operated by the National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo." Thanks to this new platform, the Republic of Belarus will open a new chapter in the country’s image representation. During the opening, the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, visited the exposition dedicated to the Great Victory. According to the head of state, the new exhibition centre is planned to host the Eurasian Economic Forum, which will take place in Minsk in June 2025.
"As agreed, today we are opening a new page in the chronicles of sovereign Belarus. We have named this miracle – the International Exhibition Centre, the Minsk Exhibition Centre," said Alexander Lukashenko.
He emphasized that advanced solutions and the best global practices were used in the construction of the centre. The total area of the complex is 37,000 m². The exhibition centre can accommodate up to 15,000 people per day.
Earlier, the National Centre RUSSIA and the National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo" of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus signed a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism. The goal of the document is to develop the tourist potential between the two countries and to demonstrate the closeness and unity of their peoples on historical, cultural, and spiritual levels.
As part of the agreement, the parties are developing unique excursion programs and tourist products with well-thought-out logistics and various themes. The tours of varying lengths are dedicated to the heroism of the Great Patriotic War heroes and take place at sites of military glory.
More information about the "Routes of Victory" can be found on the National Centre RUSSIA website. Various tours of different durations are available for travellers. The packages include guided tours with professional guides, transfers, meals, and accommodation in hotels.
The lecture "Russian Architecture in the Global Context" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 30.
On May 30, the declaration on the establishment of the International Association of Children's Organisations (IACO) was signed at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The workshop "Apartment Planning Through a Child’s Eyes" took place on May 30 as part of the educational programme of "The Birth of Scale" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
