From the volcano crater to the Olonkho universe — how the regions will surprise at the RUSSIA EXPO
On November 9, 2023, the Days of Regions program was
launched at the International RUSSIA EXPO. It will last until January 14, 2024.
Each region of the country introduces its history and culture, presents its
achievements in industry and science, as well as educational and cultural
programs.
Kamchatka: descend into a volcano and soar over the
peninsula

Visitors will enjoy an interactive "teleport" to one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Among the waves of the Pacific Ocean and in a volcano crater, where lava is born and erupts. Visitors will see the nature and wild animals of Kamchatka, and most importantly the life of Kamchatka people and their achievements in the fields of ecology, tourism, fishing industry, shipbuilding, energy and urban environment. In addition, the guests will enjoy children's games, workshops, yoga classes and training on a special simulator that imitates skateboarding or surfing - you can learn to keep balance and "feel the board" under the guidance of a trainer.
Sakhalin and Kuril Islands: nature and economy on one
ship

The Sakhalin and Kuril stand is part of a ship with a
large screen that will show videos about the island's nature and the
achievements of its economy. Visitors will be able to go on a VR-trip, see
models of agglomeration, oil and gas platform and fishing seiner. On the bow of
the ship there is a crab-like art object, and screens depicting the underwater
world of Sakhalin and the Kurils are installed below. Quizzes, interactive
games, drawings of tours to Sakhalin are waiting for the visitors.
Amur region: rocket launch, career guidance and quest
When: November 10, 2023

Visitors will launch a rocket into space: get acquainted with all the stages of flight preparation, choose the color of the ship and its configuration. Then the personal rocket created by the user will appear on the big screen together with rockets of other guests. The marriage ceremony of a couple who found their love at the Vostochny Cosmodrome will also take place here. Visitors to the stand will be able to find out their career predisposition in an unusual way: by scanning their palm on a special device. The monitor will show the person's strengths and what field of activity it is recommended to master in the Amur region. And during the game-quest the guests will be offered to open the Gate to China, having fought with the Eastern dragon, which guards them.
Primorye region: walk the leopard trail and admire nature

Guests will be offered to walk along the immersive
"Leopard Trail" and feel the presence of the rarest cat on the
planet. Moving on real stones, you can feel yourself on the top of Gamov Cape,
admire the Petrov Islands, feel the wind and hear the sound of waves - it will
become possible thanks to a special projection on the walls. On the way the
visitors will meet plants, animals and sea creatures characteristic for
Primorye. After leaving the labyrinth, the viewers will find themselves in
front of a multimedia wall, on which the main projects of the region are
demonstrated. It will also be possible to win a trip to Primorye or a
helicopter flight over Vladivostok and Golden Horn Bay.
Chukotka: ice, northern lights and a snow vortex

Travel to Chukotka without a grueling 8-hour flight. With the help of interactive screens and VR-technologies you can see the sparkling ridges of Chukotka hills around the endless tundra, the magic of the northern lights overhead and swirling snow under your feet. And there is more - the life of indigenous peoples, history and mythology of the region: you will find out who is Kel, a white Chukchi devil who plays with snow, and what is a white kruten, or ice storm. At the iceberg-shaped installation it will be possible to take part in workshops, go on an endless voyage through the ice or find yourself on the world's only floating nuclear power plant. There will also be various activities for guests: bone carving, national dancing with a tambourine and much more.
Yakutia: wedding ceremony and diamond cutting

The exposition presents the universe of Olonkho - the oldest epic art of the Republic of Sakha. Visitors will enjoy a photo zone with national outfits, the ritual of blessing Algys, video games from Yakut developers and screening of Yakut films and cartoons. The audience will see a traditional wedding ceremony and the rite of dressing the bride, based on the traditions of the 19th century. It will also be possible to take part in national sports and workshops on horsehair weaving, playing the khomus and diamond cutting.
Jewish autonomous region: rainbows, robots and minerals

Near the pavilion with a bright rainbow, guests are greeted by robot guides with interactive screens - Monya and his mother Roza Abramovna. They tell funny Jewish anecdotes, the history of the Jewish autonomous region and just communicate with visitors and play games with them. The audience will watch video clips about the past, present and future of the autonomy, take part in a dance master class, take selfies with the effect of spatial illusion, make a 3D-travel on the bridge and become a train driver. They will also take home a small souvenir of the useful mineral brucite.
On January
7 and 14, multigenre musical evenings were held at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
"Library of the Future" hall features works by science fiction
writers who were ahead of their time in many ways.
On January
14, due to numerous requests from guests, the musical evening "New Year
Windows" was held again.
