Film "Our Healers" about doctors in the SMO zone was shown at the RUSSIA EXPO

On June 16, as part of the International RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion No. 75, a special screening of the film "Our Healers", directed by Denis Kurlaev and Anastasia Kontselidze, dedicated to the heroism of Russian doctors in the Special Military Operation zone, took place on Medical Workers' Day.

The event was attended by representatives of the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Ministry of Health, the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic, doctors and the film's creative team. The moderator was Anastasia Martynova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Chairman of the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic, a participant in the SMO, Artem Zhoga, addressed the participants with welcoming words. He congratulated medical workers on their holiday and noted that he personally felt their help and support in important moments of his life.

"I know firsthand the strength and resilience of our medics: doctors, support staff. In the most difficult moments, you are always at your post. I have personally felt your support and care in the operating room, which helped me a lot!" - said Artem Zhoga.

Senator from the Belgorod region Zhanna Chefranova, who is also a doctor of medical sciences, congratulated her colleagues on the holiday and emphasized the uniqueness of this day.

"This is a holiday of service, love for people and readiness for self-sacrifice. As a senator from the Belgorod region, I can say that today we feel closeness and kinship with Donbass like never before! Doctors in the LPR, Siberia, Zaporozhye, Kherson region and Central Russia are doing the same thing, contributing to the approaching victory," said Zhanna Chefranova.

Before the film screening, the author of the idea and the executive producer of the documentary project "Our Healers. Donbass" Vladislav Dombrovsky addressed the participants of the event. He spoke about the concept of creating the film and its main characters.

"This is a film about doctors, real heroes of the Donetsk People's Republic. It is about how they continue to help people, fight life's circumstances, stay in these conditions no matter what, believe in victory and goodness. It is about the strength of spirit of the people of Donbass, their character, and how dedicated they are," emphasized Vladislav Dombrovsky.

"Our Healers. Donbass" consists of twelve documentary films that allow viewers to see what is happening in Donbass through the eyes of those who do not take up arms but whose tools are scalpels and clamps. The main characters of this series are medical workers - paramedics, ambulance drivers, doctors. The uniqueness of the project lies in the personal narrative and the perspective on what is happening through the eyes of Donbass doctors.

The International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the most important achievements of the country in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 16 million people have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
