Tourism Day in the regions of the Siberian Federal District will be held at the RUSSIA EXPO

Tourism Day in the regions of the Siberian Federal District will be held at the International RUSSIA EXPO on July 2. The program includes a plenary session with the participation of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev, presentation of tourist routes and tourist opportunities, as well as cultural events.

As part of the business program, it is planned to discuss the implementation plan of the Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Siberian Federal District until 2035 and the results of participation of the regions of the district in the Exposition. At the plenary session "Tourism in the Regions of the Siberian Federal District" the heads of the Siberian regions will present the tourist potential of the territories and priority investment projects in this sphere, after which a vote will be held for the objects to be included in the all-Siberian tourist route.

Throughout the day, the stands of the Siberian Federal District regions will host presentations of existing tourist routes. Visitors will learn about the natural, cultural, and industrial attractions of Siberia.

Everyone will be able to get acquainted with the tourist potential of the Novosibirsk region, a region where fundamental science is developing against the backdrop of the mighty Siberian nature on the great Trans-Siberian Railway. The presentation will include popular science routes around the city of scientists. During such a trip a tourist will see a nuclear collider, extract DNA from a fruit, learn about scientific experiments that have been conducted by scientific institutes for many years. During the scientific standup real scientist-paleontologist Vsevolod Yefremenko will prove that serious science is not boring at all. He will tell about the peculiarities of paleo fishing, how expeditions are held and how scientists predict future finds of dinosaur remains. Anastasia Plutova, winner of numerous vocal contests and student of the Igor Krutoy Academy, will also perform at the presentation. 

At 19;00, the "Festival of Russian Opera" featuring the best creative groups from Russia and abroad will begin on the Main Street Stage. Tourism Day in the Siberian Federal District regions will conclude with a performance by the State Academic Omsk Russian Folk Choir in the Cultural Projects Zone of Pavilion No. 75.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 17 million people have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
