Olga Lyubimova gave an author’s tour of the "Our Culture" exposition at the RUSSIA EXPO
Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian
Federation, gave an author's tour of the "Our Culture" exposition in
Pavilion D for winners and participants of the "Bolshaya Peremena"
("Big Change"/"Big School Break") contest. Under the
guidance of the head of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, schoolchildren and
college students got acquainted with the main achievements of the country in
the field of culture and art.
First, the guests of the pavilion visited the interactive
zone "Literature". Olga Lyubimova spoke about the creation of model
libraries and the National Electronic Library (NEL), which presented paper
literature in digital format. Vadim Duda, Director General of the Russian State
Library, joined the tour. From him the guests of the exposition learned how
libraries preserve the memory of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin. The
children also recalled poems by A.S. Pushkin together with the head of Leninka.
In the "Fine Arts" section participants of the
"Bolshaya Peremena" learned where future painters study. Darya
Byalik, methodologist for scientific and educational activities of the
Tretyakov Gallery, spoke about the history of the treasury. The guests guessed
the famous masterpieces by poetic descriptions.
A stop in the movie hall was dedicated to the successes of
Russian cinematography, in particular, to the first feature film shot in space
- "Challenge". In honor of the Cosmonautics Day the kids met with the
cameraman Alexei Dudin, who was the understudy of the director of the film
shooting on the ISS.
In the "Theater and Ballet" zone, Professor Andrei
Alferov of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography talked about the basic
dance elements, and the young artists demonstrated it at the ballet bar.
Olga Lyubimova reminded about the musical heritage of
Russian composers and modern musical projects at the "Classics"
stand. And Daniel Adiyants, a graduate of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music,
introduced the participants of the excursion to jazz improvisation.
"It is possible to talk about culture in our country
without end. I would like you to retain its directions in your memory so that
you go to theaters, museums, philharmonics, libraries, cinema halls as often as
possible and that you find it interesting there," Olga Lyubimova noted.
"Bolshaya Peremena" is the largest project for
children and teenagers in Russia. More than five million participants have
joined it: schoolchildren in grades 5-10, students of special professional
education organizations, teacher-mentors from all over the country, as well as
foreign citizens.
There are
many foreigners as well as former compatriots among the visitors to the
National Centre RUSSIA
The
excursion immerses participants in the rich history of the district, where the
memory of historical events from various years is closely intertwined.
The
exposition of young artists continues at the National Centre RUSSIA until 2
