Dymkovo toy at INNOPROM 2025: traditional crafts became a highlight of the National Centre RUSSIA’s Department Store stand
At the
INNOPROM 2025 International Industrial Exposition, the Department Store stand
of the National Centre RUSSIA offered visitors a showcase of folk crafts, where
traditions seamlessly blended with contemporary trends.
Producers
from across the country were given a unique platform to enter global markets,
presenting goods in which centuries-old techniques gained new resonance through
innovative approaches.

The famous
Dymkovo toy — a hallmark of the region with a five-hundred-year history — was
on display at the Department Store stand.
These brightly coloured clay figurines, handmade and painted according to techniques passed down through generations, are rightfully considered a benchmark of folk art. Each piece is created using a unique process, from preparing local red clay to final decoration with gold leaf.
Next to the
Dymkovo masterpieces were refined items crafted by Vyatka artisans — matryoshka
dolls decorated with natural rye straw and delicate porcelain featuring
traditional ornaments with a modern designer touch.
Over the four days of the exposition, the Department Store stand of the National Centre RUSSIA set attendance records, becoming one of the most talked-about platforms at INNOPROM 2025 in Yekaterinburg. This success was made possible thanks to the participation of more than 100 producers from 46 regions of the country, showcasing the finest examples of Russian products.
It was
especially symbolic that the debut off-site participation format of the
National Centre RUSSIA received international recognition — the official
delegation of Saudi Arabia, the partner country of INNOPROM 2025, invited the
organisers to present Russian crafts at INNOPROM 2026 in Riyadh. This decision
served as the clearest testament to the global demand for traditional Russian
products.
The stand of the Department Store was a key part of the INNOPROM 2025 International Industrial Exposition in Yekaterinburg.
On July 17 at 19:00, the third meeting titled "The Climate of the Future: Trends and Technological Opportunities" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the project "Dialogues about the Future with Valery Fedorov."
