Russian Crab Festival to highlight the opening of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Primorye
On 7 September, the day of the grand opening of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Primorye region, the First Russian Crab Street Festival will feature a series of gastronomic shows. Chefs will prepare well-known dishes using this delicacy.
The festive programme will be hosted by Yekaterina Shapovalova, author of the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia" and curator of the gastronomic division of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Guests of the festival will enjoy culinary shows by leading chefs. Roman Kotovsky from the restaurant ZUMA will present an unusual dish "Slice with Crab", while Mikhail Shtabsky, chef of the restaurant chain Yeda i Tochka, will surprise the audience with exquisite crab ice cream. Azamat Mukhamedov, founder of the Omelette Station chain, will prepare traditional pancakes with a crab filling, adding a Far Eastern twist to a classic dish.
The programme will also include a lecture "The Role of Crabs in Marine Ecosystems: Facts and Myths" by Sergei Maslennikov, PhD in Biology and Professor at the Far Eastern Federal University. The gastronomic day will conclude with cabbage soup with crab prepared by a united team of chefs from the Primorye region.
At 16:00 on 7 September, near the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Primorye region at 4 Batareynaya Street, a festive programme will take place. Admission is free for everyone. The event will feature a performance by the band TES’LA, a flag parade, a dance flash mob "The Beautiful Faraway", and a concert with local performers and special guest — singer Eva Polna.The programme will be hosted by Alexander Pstyga, sports commentator of the Admiral hockey club in Vladivostok, and Anastasia Borodina, journalist of the Moscow 24 TV channel. The first thousand guests will receive kokoshniks from Patriotka brand, while the most active spectators will get memorable souvenirs and special gifts.
The guest was congratulated by the Minister of Tourism of the Primorye Territory, Natalia Naboichenko.

The festival passed its tenth anniversary last year, and its popularity in its home city continues to grow.
