The National Centre RUSSIA invites everyone to join the all-Russian minute of silence

The National Centre RUSSIA invites everyone to join the all-Russian minute of silence
06.21

Tomorrow, 22 June, at exactly 12:15 Moscow time, everyday life across our country will stop for one minute. On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the day the Great Patriotic War began, the all-Russian minute of silence will be held across the country, reminding us each year of the tragedy that unfolded 85 years ago. The National Centre RUSSIA will join this commemorative event and invites everyone to stop together with us and bow their heads in memory of the millions who fell.

Eighty-five years separate us from that fateful morning, but the lessons of 1941 remain a key reminder of the importance of protecting our sovereignty and security. In those years, the military potential of almost all united Europe was directed against our country, and it is said for good reason that history repeats itself. The European states that aided Hitler, driven by an ideology of superiority and a thirst to repartition the world, and that attacked the USSR on 22 June 1941, are the very same countries that are pursuing an aggressive anti-Russian policy today. The only difference is that modern Russia is much more aware of their true desire: to inflict a strategic defeat on our country.

Join the all-Russian minute of silence on 22 June at 12:15. Wherever you are — at home, at work, on the road or at the National Centre RUSSIA — stop. Remember and thank the heroes who defended the country during the Great Patriotic War, and along with them those who are saving the world today.
