Dairy products with algae and Arctic harvests: week of agro-industrial complex of the Arkhangelsk region at the RUSSIA EXPO

At the stand of the Arkhangelsk region at the RUSSIA EXPO, the region's agro-industrial complex week will be held from January 30 to February 4. Specialists from the Pomorie agro-industrial complex will present successful projects and achievements, and exposition guests will take part in educational and entertainment events and get acquainted with an innovative fermented milk product with White Sea algae.

The presentation will feature methods for increasing yields in the North and ways to combat Sosnovsky's hogweed, and there also will be an interactive demonstration from the Arkhangelsk Regional Veterinary Laboratory.

In addition, lectures on the Mezen breed of horses are planned at the stand of the Arkhangelsk region, as well as a quiz “Agriculture with an Arctic Character”, developed as part of the Agrostaff 29 regional career guidance project.

As Irina Bazhanova, Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Arkhangelsk region, explained, all these events at the RUSSIA EXPO have not only an educational, but also a career guidance function. “We hope that young people will get acquainted with agriculture at VDNH, understand how interesting and diverse this industry is, and this will help someone at school decide on a future profession - this is precisely the goal set by the presidential national project Education,” said the head of the department.
