Star concerts, amazing meetings and grand processions: what the RUSSIA EXPO was like
Every day,
for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable
emotions. Visitors went to concerts and witnessed sports records, listened to
lectures from world-class experts and learned new things at masterclasses,
participated in large-scale processions and festivals.
One of the
main objectives of the Exposition is education and enlightenment. From the
first to the final day there were lectures, educational games, excursions and
masterclasses. The guests learned to sew, knit, draw, mastered unusual musical
instruments and financial literacy, upgraded their professional skills and
practiced logic in intellectual games. They listened to lectures by
politicians, journalists, scientists, met with writers and artists, film
critics and historians.
At the same
time, the Exposition was always generous with bright emotions and large-scale
events. The Parade of Ded Moroz, traditional Maslenitsa festivities with the
performance of street artists and treats, as well as the May Day procession
under the slogan "May! Labor is Cool!". The summer season with its
festival "Future in Flowers", gastronomic festivals in the House of
Russian Cuisine, and parades became no less bright.
What
particularly stood out for the guests was the theatrical parade by the Moscow
Historical Festival "Times and Epochs": its participants reenacted
the Soviet sports parade, as well as the fun race "Bright People,"
where fairy-tale characters and historical figures lined up at the start.
The concerts on the Main Stage attracted a huge number of spectators. Russian stars performed for the guests: Polina Gagarina, Mitya Fomin, Zemlyane band, Irina Dubtsova, Nyusha, as well as Diskoteka Avariya, Nadezhda Babkina, Mia Boyka, Habib and many others.
One of the most memorable was the concert in honor of
the closing of the Exposition on July 6, which brought together such stars as
Grigory Leps, Oleg Gazmanov, the Buranovskie Babushki group, Natalia
Podolskaya, Alexei Vorobyov and SHAMAN.
The performance took place as part of the international Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
