Meeting with the champions of the Dakar super marathon: KAMAZ-master team pilots at the RUSSIA EXPO

The International RUSSIA EXPO hosted the Mechanical Engineering Day organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The cultural program included an event with the participation of the KAMAZ-master racing team pilots, where they talked about their racing experience, shared their vision of automobile construction and answered questions from the pavilion guests.

For the pilots of the team, which leads the world ranking of automotive teams, the topic of the future of the Russian automotive industry is particularly relevant.

"A car can be improved endlessly, we started literally with a factory truck. Now the racing KAMAZs use the latest technologies of domestic production. The results of the competitions prove that our industry holds leading positions. And KAMAZ is currently the most obvious example of the power of the Russian automobile industry. Many parts used on the latest racing models have been transferred to production vehicles," said driver Andrey Karginov about the competitiveness of Russian production.

In addition to the autograph session and interaction with fans, the rally winners shared their impressions of the Mechanical Engineering Day at the RUSSIA EXPO. Dmitry Sotnikov, the team driver and multiple winner of rally-raids, emphasized the importance of the Mechanical Engineering Day: "The exposition impresses with the scale and possibilities of our country. Mechanical Engineering Day is a great chance to show the guests the achievements of the automotive industry, and we even came here with the latest model of our winning truck for this purpose".

The legendary KAMAZ racing truck attracted special interest among the visitors of the event, including guests from other countries: "I am very happy to be here and I would like to express my special gratitude to the organizer of the open dialogue, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, for the opportunity to meet my idols, the pilots of the KAMAZ-master racing team, and, most importantly, to see the latest model of the legendary rally truck in person," said a sportsman fan who came to the Mechanical Engineering Day from Brazil.
