Rockets, cars and a festival - the Samara region decorated the New Year tree at VDNH
Samara made a New Year's bet on its industrial achievements.
The festive tree is decorated with the Soyuz rocket carrier, which has been a symbol of Samara for 22 years.
The real spaceship, made by Kuybyshev plant Progress, was installed as a monument in the Samara Cosmic Museum and Exposition Center. The rocket is 68 meters high and weighs 20 tons.
Cars, which remind us of the automobile plant in the region, could not be left out on the fir tree.
The New Year's decoration is complemented by a bard's guitar - the symbol of the Grushinsky Festival, which has been held annually near Samara since 1968.
On the Main Alley of VDNH visitors are greeted by 89 fir trees, each of which represents a region of the country with its folk arts and crafts and traditions. And the 90th blue spruce represents the RUSSIA EXPO itself. The trees came from the Moscow region, where they have been carefully cultivated for many years. After the exposition, the spruces will be planted near VDNH.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors.
The documentary "Life in the Profession", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of an outstanding cameraman Anatoly Zabolotsky, was shown at the National Centre RUSSIA on July 1.
Very this day one year ago, on July 1, the decree of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the establishment of the National Centre RUSSIA was signed.
On July 2 and 3, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the Forum "Strong Ideas for a New Age". The Forum will include sessions and presentations of the best projects.
