The National Centre RUSSIA exposition "See Yugra — Fall in Love with Russia!" in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra welcomed its 50,000th visitor. She was local resident Ksenia Kitaykina, who received a T-shirt bearing the logo of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra as a souvenir.

The Yugra resident could not hide her delight when she realised that she was the milestone visitor. However, the exposition itself, which she visited for the first time, made an even greater impression on her: "I loved absolutely everything. I learnt more about the Khanty, Mansi and Forest Nenets peoples, as well as the region’s nature and oil and gas production. The plane was simply incredible. I enjoyed everything very much."

Ksenia Kitaykina was born and raised in Yugra and is ethnically Khanty. She admitted that the exposition helped her discover many new things even about the region she had known since childhood. Ksenia found the section dedicated to the culture of Yugra’s Indigenous peoples particularly interesting.

"Although I did not experience any of this myself, my great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers did. I recognise certain things from the everyday objects used by my ancestors. Even I found it very heart-warming," the guest emphasised.

According to Ksenia Kitaykina, expositions like this help local residents gain a better understanding of their own history and share it with their children.

The "See Yugra — Fall in Love with Russia!" exposition introduces residents and visitors to the history, nature, culture and modern achievements of Yugra. Visitors can learn about the Indigenous peoples of the North, the development of oil and gas fields, the region’s natural environment, cities and people. Admission to the exposition is free, and guided tours are available with advance booking.
