Yugra team behind the National Centre RUSSIA received a commendation from the Governor
The Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra, Ruslan Kukharuk, presented letters of appreciation to representatives of construction companies, experts, civic activists, youth leaders, and representatives of the Indigenous Peoples of the North. The ceremonial event marked the completion of large-scale work to open the Yugra branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, a process that involved thousands of local residents. The creation of the space in Khanty-Mansiysk became possible thanks to their joint efforts. This enabled Yugra to become one of the first regions where, by instruction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA was established.
"Thank you to everyone who contributed to creating a new calling card for the region. Your work and love for your home region have made it possible for this unique federal project to become truly Yugra-based," Ruslan Kukharuk said.
After the awards ceremony, the Governor, together with the heads of all 22 municipal districts of the area, took a guided tour of the main exposition "See Yugra — Fall in Love with Russia!".
The tour was particularly significant, as the content of the exposition halls was developed based on proposals from residents themselves. In March 2025, strategic sessions were held across all municipalities of Yugra, during which residents put forward ideas on how to present the culture and economic potential of their districts and towns.
The National Centre RUSSIA in Khanty-Mansiysk, which opened to mark the 95th anniversary of the autonomous area, has become a modern public and cultural space. Through multimedia expositions, visitors can learn about the cultural identity, nature, and economy of the area. Admission is free with prior registration on the official website.
